Hibernian Private School Reviews

From: Ann M Conidaris | submitted: May 19, 2009
Our daughter is currently an 11th grader at Hibernian Private School. We had tried two other public schools prior to this and the chaotic fast paced setting at those schools just didn't work for her. She had always excelled at everything before high school. Then, something clicked. We wernt sure what, but we tried changing schools and the same issues arose; she wasnt completing assignments, and our frustration was mounting because we all knew she was capable of doing so much better. Then we heard about Hibernian Private School. We made an appointment and from that first meeting my mind was at ease. It sounds ridiculous, but the staff is so qualified, so directly engaged in each child that you are instantly aware they have the best interest in mind for your child. It was as if- Finally- my daughter had an advocate at school. There are a couple of key factors that make this school the right choice for us. One is the low student to teacher ratio. This has been key for us because she now has the ability to really understand her lessons by talking about them with her classmates and her teacher. The classes that our daughter takes are all college preoratory classes so all of the effort she puts into each class will be beneficial to her in the future. Futhermore, Because the school is smaller, I am on a first name basis with the adults who teach my child every day. This means our communication lines are always open between us. We would recommend this special school to anyone who is looking for an alternitive to High School. Sincerely, Ann C.
